A miqo'te of mixed Seeker and Keeper heritage, Nalukai is an outlier of her race for a plethora of reasons. The first, and arguably most noticeable trait that marks her as unusual is her height; she stands at 5 fulms and 9 ilms, tall for any miqo'te, let alone a woman. Her physique is broad, compact looking from a distance, yet not without curves through the sides. Hips and shoulders appear roughly the same width, limbs stocky and decently toned, ending in wide feet and squared palms, respectively. Motherhood has given her a fuller, slightly padded look particularly through the middle, but signs point to her maintaining a steady enough regiment of physical activity.An angular face with bold features and a strong-looking jaw all but instantly removes her from the 'pretty' category. While not wholly unattractive looking by societal standards, 'handsome for a woman' is a better fit to describe her. Thick brows with split peaks act as something of a border between a broad forehead and slightly sunken eye sockets. The lids and lower brow bones both seem to sport a naturally darker tone than the rest of her pale skin.Her eyes are a bright, pale, stormy blue-gray with the thin pupils associated with those usually of Seeker origin. The faint stripes on her cheeks hold a ruddy tone; three on each side, with an ilm-long scar tracing through the middle stripe on her left cheek. Whatever caused the scar appears to have done it at least twice, as there's a matching streak of silvered, healed flesh over the bridge of her slightly aquiline nose. Her lips are relatively thin, untouched by cosmetics, and prone to lopsided grins or smirks that sometimes display the subtle Keeper fangs hidden behind them.Hair, ears, and tail all have the same shade of deep, chilled violet with only minor deviation. The strands and fibers seem to be fine but plentiful, and hang straight and neatly tended. At the ends of her hair, scattered streaks of glaucous blue can be spotted. A widow's peak sprouts long and angled bangs, the majority of which seem to favor hanging down the right side of her face. Past shoulder length, her hair is usually worn gathered in a loose tail either at the base of her skull or high up the back of it. Sharply pointed ears sprout absurdly long, curled tufts at their ends, the color of which look to be near-black under most lights.Long and densely furred, her tail oft shows itself to be a practical instrument of balance as well as an extension to expression. It can be spotted ticking in a multitude of ways on any given occasion. While not easily noticed, thanks to the thick fur, some spots in what should be the smooth column of bone appear to have slight kinks to them, suggesting poorly-healed breaks in the past.

Attire 𓆝 𓆟 𓆞

Nalukai dresses in a practical, modest manner - predominantly to conceal a considerable amount of scarring over her body. Garments are chosen for functionality rather than form, though for special occasions, she has been known to dress the part.Most days, it's fairly common to see her dressed in well-kept work clothes; button up shirt, with a high collar and rolled sleeves, tucked under suspenders and into a pair of side-buttoned trousers, simple work boots, close-fitting wrist braces. It's much rarer to spot her in field armor these days, but when occasion calls for it, her kit looks to be geared toward high mobility with light armor plating, pieces protecting joints and core. Her weapon of choice is a sleek, single-bladed black axe that looks well-loved, but also well tended.Whatever the outfit for the day may be, there are a few pieces that are omnipresent. Chief among them is what looks to be an Eternal Bond-style ring on her left hand comprised of dark steel with wood inlay. An engraved copper pendant accented with a carved coral piece serve as centerpiece to the otherwise plain black choker. Both wrists are usually covered by plain, black cloth bracers. A pair of simple hoop earrings, one in each ear, serve as storage for link pearls.

Attitude 𓆝 𓆟 𓆞

In terms of historical demeanor, Nalukai was once a tempestuous sea, full of rage, frothing foam, and hazardous to even attempt to navigate. In the more recent years of her life, that tempest has calmed into something closer to serenity. The choice to shift away from combat-oriented pursuits and toward a more creative vocation has been partially responsible. Outright joy and happiness are more likely to be credited to other changes; a warm, thriving home, a hopelessly devoted marriage, and the start of a family.While she remains a private person, especially when it comes to details of the more personal nature, she is not wholly closed off. She is publicly known to be generous, dedicated, steadfast, and determined-bordering-stubborn, when necessary. However, anyone mistaking her kindness or compassion for weakness or naivety is like to regret it if they attempt to take advantage. She may look and live the part of a simple carpenter and parent, these days, but her hands still curl to fit the shape of an axe's haft when they are at rest. Though the surface of the sea may be calm, a beast still sleeps beneath the waves. It would be unwise to wake it.
